The Montclair, NJ office of Sampers Financial, Inc. ("SFI") has an excellent career opportunity for an Investment Advisory Sales Professional. SFI is a growing, boutique financial advisory firm in search of an experienced Investment Sales professional. SFI is a member firm of National Financial Partners, ("NFP") a premier, independent financial services company serving the affluent and mid-sized corporate markets. Together, we bring knowledge, commitment, and unique array of resources to add significant value to our client relationships.
SFI continues to aggressively pursue growth opportunities in the dynamic asset management business and is searching for qualified, motivated candidates to gather new assets under management in this changing environment. The Sales Executive will focus on new account acquisition and with the help of SFI's investment services team will work to leverage the leading resources of our Broker Dealer, NFP Securities, Inc.
You will be responsible for:
- attracting, building, expanding and retaining long-term investment advisory relationships
- consulting to determine financial goals, resources, financial position, and assets available to invest.
- determining and recommending appropriate investment strategies based on client need
- referring clients to other business partners and services within the firm.
You will be supported by a team that will help:
- handle client transactions, inquiries and account files
- open and service new accounts.
- complete sales and route documents for processing.
- verify status reports and perform calculations to monitor client accounts and verify transactions.
- manage databases and technology resources
- oversee compliance with pertinent laws and regulations.
The requirements for this position are:
- 3+ years of successful investment experience including product knowledge and sales skills, and the ability to relate professionally with clients and colleagues alike.
- Series 7 and 63 securities licenses (with a clean U4).
- A proven track record of production (Experience of direct investment products sales in a retail, independent or wirehouse setting)
- High level of integrity that includes a strong desire to sell and to be successful assertiveness, ambition, energy, discipline, confidence, etc
- Can define own role, take on responsibilities, and manage priorities.

Compensation
We offer compensation plans that rewards consistent production and removes the anxiety involved in monthly thresholds. We will look at ways to transition the right person appropriately and will discuss compensation after receiving a qualified resume.
